We make the daily tasks easy to reach with considered menus and shortcuts - without simplifying so far that the platform stops being flexible.
The complex made simple
An email platform holds a great many functions once you dig below the surface. It matters to us that the tool does not overwhelm you - and just as much that we do not simplify so far that you cannot find what you are looking for.
We keep studying how people actually move around, and use that to structure the interface. Advanced functions that not everyone needs are gathered where they are easy to reach for those who do, without getting in the way of the daily work.
Development without breaking continuity
Once you have learned an interface, there is nothing worse than arriving on a Monday with a deadline two hours away to find that nothing looks the same.
The platform is developed constantly, but every new function is thought through, so it lands in the right place and does not disturb what is already there. We limit large changes to the fundamental parts of the interface, and when we make them, we give notice in good time so you can plan around it.
Content and structure over design trends
When a system has been around for over 20 years, plenty of trends have come and gone. We try to think long term rather than follow them. Not every organisation wants to change how it works as fast as the IT industry does, and none should be forced to.
The email editors are a central part of the platform and deliberately built by us. It is an area we would rather have in hand than leave to a tool we cannot adapt.
